Ronald Eugene Hill
November 24, 1942 - April 12, 2014

A gathering of family and friends for a “Celebration of Life” is scheduled from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Ballard Funeral Home for Ronald Eugene Hill, 71, who passed away Saturday, April 12, 2014 at home surrounded by his loved ones.

Ronald was born November 24, 1942 in Amarillo, TX to Oliver Hill and Frankie Harris Hill. Both parents preceded him in death.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Sandra Hill of the family home in Roswell; son Lynn Finley of San Antonio, TX; brothers Harley Hill and wife Sandi of Clayton, NM and Michael Hill and wife Linda of Carlsbad, NM and sister Elizabeth Hill of Carlsbad, NM.

Ronald graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1960 and continued his education at NMSU graduating in 1974. During this time Ronald served in the United States Army. Ronald was a Petroleum Engineer working for Texaco and retiring after twenty-five years. He was a member of the Petroleum Engineer Club. He spent every minute he could bowling and was a member of the American Bowling Congress. Ronald also loved to swim and was a devoted Denver Bronco fan.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations are made to the American Cancer Society, 1111 S. Pennsylvania.
