Paula Kathleen Vanover, the very best daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away in Lubbock, TX May 18, 2020

 

Paula was born to Margaret Garner and J.D. Townsend in Matador, TX on June 1st, 1947.  Paula moved to Roswell with her Husband Fred in 1987; where she managed the Eastern New Mexico State Fair for many years.  Paula was an incredibly strong, compassionate, kind and loving woman; who made friends everywhere she went.  She was an avid bowler, who loved to travel and spend time with family.  Family was extremely important to Paula and she loved all of her family and friends very deeply.  Words cannot convey how greatly she will be missed by them.

 

Paula was preceded in death by her loving Husband Fred Vanover, Son Carol Vanover, Father J.D. Townsend, Sister Donna Dunn, Sister Margie Griffin, and Brother Phil Townsend.

 

Paula is survived by her Mother Margaret Garner, Daughter Jamie Pitts, Sons, Freddie Vanover, Jeff Vanover and J.P. Vanover, Grandchildren Chance Kane and Sara Harlan, Great-Grandchildren Clay & Clyde who she affectionately referred to as her SBC's, companion Don Armstead and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and GREAT friends.
