Mary M. (Jeffries) Garnett

Mary M. (Jeffries) Garnett, 73, of Evansville, Indiana, formerly of Roswell, New Mexico, passed away, Saturday, August 23, 2008, at Terrace at Solarbron in Evansville. She was born September 29, 1934 in Warrick County to Charles E. and Nelly M.(Brack) Jeffries. Throughout her life she was an employee of the United States Government working with the FAA, OSHA and the U.S. Postal Service.

Her hobbies were bowling, cooking, sewing and canning delicious jellies.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 56 years, Gerald E. Garnett on May 7, 2008; three brothers, Charles E. III., Cecil E. and Bobby Joe Jeffries.

Survivors include her brother and his wife, John and Judy Jeffries of Sweeney, Texas; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved pet Besenji dogs, Angel and Buddy.

The family, of the late Mary Garnett, wish to express their deepest appreciation for the entire staff at Solarbron. They dedicated themselves daily, to providing Mary with the finest and most professional care, while demonstrating the type of love and support families provide. Thank you for your devotion and compassion during Mary's abidance in your care.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 27, 2008, at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Simpson Chapel, 510 West Jennings Street Newburgh, Indiana. Reverend Robert Nall will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, August 26, 2008 and Wednesday 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home
