Dale George Carr August 13, 1935 - March 10, 2006 A memorial Mass will be celebrated for Dale George Carr, 70, of Roswell at 10 a.m. Monday, March 27, 2006, at St. Peter's Catholic Church with Father Paul Juniet, O.F.M., officiating.  Dale passed away Friday, March 10, 2006, at Sunset Villa Care Center. Dale was born on Aug. 13, 1935, to George L. Carr and Leola Mae Hodge Carr in Lovington, Ill. He and Myra DuBois were married on June 18, 1956, in Peoria, Ill.; she survives Dale at the family home. Dale lived in Central Illinois until moving to Roswell in 1978. In Roswell, he founded the family business Carr Automotive. Dale enjoyed riding his Harley, hunting, fishing, golfing, and spending time with his family (especially his grandchildren) and friends.

In addition to his wife, Myra, Dale is survived by his children, Dr. Cynthia Flessner and husband, John, of Springfield, Ill., Dennis Carr of Roswell, Sandra Wanzeck and husband Tom, of Aurora, Colo., and Joe Carr and wife, Erica, of Roswell; eight grandchildren, Kelly Wanzeck, Dale Carr, Brian Carr, Anna Flessner, Rebecca Wanzeck, Sam Flessner, and Erin Flessner; two sisters, Norma Dean Piccony, and Louise Schumm and husband, Don, all of Pekin, Ill.; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, George and Leola Mae Carr, and two brothers, Robert and Eugene Carr.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society Chaves County Unit, 111 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Roswell, NM 88203
