Cathryn Fannin

Cathryn "Kay" Adelaide Fannin, 90, of Roswell, NM, passed away Monday, Sept. 22, 2014, at her home. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Cathryn was married to Ray Fannin on Dec. 24, 1945, who preceded her in death in October of 2003.

Cathryn was born July 10, 1924, to Perry George Osborne and Eula Littlejohn Osborn in Frost, TX. She was a long time bowler, went all over the country bowling, loved her children and grandchildren, enjoyed watching her hummingbirds and the Atlanta Braves.

Cathryn is survived by her three sons, Paul Powell Fannin if Kemah, TX; Douglas Osborne Fannin of Sacramento, CA; John Lowes Fannin of Driftwood, TX; a daughter, Diana Fannin Stephenson of Fritch, TX; brother, Charles Osborne and wife Rosemary of Coolidge, TX, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Webmaster's note:  It was a lot of fun bowling with Kay.  One time she asked me the, "Where are you from?" question and I responded with, "Well, back in 1945, my dad was amorous with...", and Kay laughed and made a remark that she should have known that I would answer like that.  On windy days, I would ask if she wanted to carry my bowling ball to give her ballast to keep her from blowing away.
