Carl David Tuckness

October 23, 1985 - June 14, 2009

Carl David Tuckness, 23, died on June 14, 2009. Carl was born in Socorro on Oct. 23, 1985, to Sara and David Tuckness. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at Highland Baptist Church at 11 a.m.

Carl spent most of his life in Roswell, where he attended Roswell High School. Carl worked at Roswell Lumber and at the Town and Country Bowling Alley. He was about to begin his first semester of college at Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell.

Carl had a passion, and a natural talent, for bowling and had won many tournaments. He was at a national bowling tournament in Las Vegas, Nev., when he reached the end of his life. Carl was a kind-hearted person who loved the Lord, his family, his pets and his friends. He had a big heart and was a positive influence on everyone in his life. He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his parents, Sara and David Tuckness; his brother, Chris Tuckness; his niece, Desiree Cook; his grandmother, Chesna Simmons; his aunts, Cindy Simmons and Betty Ball; his cousins, Marcus, Steven and Elizabeth Ball; his stepfather, Bob Janish, and his half-sisters, Kim, Jennifer and Bobbi Janish.

In lieu of memorial contributions, Carl would’ve wanted donations to be made to a bowling scholarship or go a charity organization for animals.  He loved cats.
