Paul Irvin Freeman February 26, 1938 - July 12, 2020

Paul Irvin Freeman, of Roswell passed away July 12, 2020 at E.N.M.M.C.

Paul was born February 26, 1938 to Roscoe C. Freeman and Ruby Hardaway Freeman in Luting, Texas on February 26, 1938. Graveside services will be at General Douglas McBride Veterans Cemetery on Tuesday July 21, 2020 at 9:00 a.m.

He met the love of his life; Inetta Moorer in 1973. They were married June 25, 1973 and became the proud parents of three children. He was a very dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great-grand father, and friend and never met a stranger. He worked at Glovers, The City of Roswell until his retirement. He always had a big smile doing. Paul was honored to serve his country; he joined the Army in 1962. He served with the Army Reserve, Army National Guard until his retirement of over twenty years of Service. He received the good conduct award and Expert Marksman award. Paul always went out of his way to help anyone in need.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Inetta, they were married 47 years. His children; Paula Freeman, Jamie Freeman, Janet Freeman and Derek Kneller. Grandchildren, Marian James, Emery Wright, Toshian Freeman, Tyrine Freeman, Austin Daniels, Amarian Zambizi, Julian Palma. Great grandchildren, Deshaun Williams, Aasiah Williams, Kaliah Williams, China Williams. Siblings, Curtis Freeman, Renee Hubbard, Nancy Freeman, Don Freeman, Beverly Lewis. His only remaining Aunt, Homa Gordan and her family. And numerous nieces and nephews. Pets: Agnes, Jeffery, Julia and Clara.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, his son Paul A. Freeman and grandson John Williams his siblings, Virginia Burns, Roscoe Freeman Jr. Bobby Freeman, Melba J. Boyd. Nieces, Ruby D. Austin and Gina Freeman.

Paul's love of art; lead him to paint Jesus Christ Crucifixion on the cross and Jesus ascension to heaven for one of the local churches. He coached little League baseball for many years and as the youth that he coached grew and became adults he remembered who they were. Paul was a wood carver and received first place from the New Mexico State Fair for his carving of Jesus on the cross. He truly loved God and Jesus.

Paul's favorite pastime was fishing, hunting, bowling, movies and watching his favorite shows on T.V. He loved gardening, painting, drawing, playing his guitar and bongo drums, carving and collecting. He was an excellent tailor. The Broncos was his favorite team. He loved golf and watching Tiger Woods.

We would like to thank friends and family that have been helpful during his passing, thank you for the prayers and support. A special thank you to our nephew Daniel Freeman for his love and support. Thank you to Dr. Siavash Karimian for his care and compassion.
